My name is Shelby Shaughnessy and I use she/her/hers pronouns. I’m an undergraduate junior studying Gender and Health and minoring in Spanish. I am pre-med and hope to work with the LGBTQ+ population through medicine in the future! I’m also a student DJ at WCBN-FM and part of a club working towards destigmatizing mental health called Wolverine Support Network. I joined Lord of Light my freshman year because I wanted to attend an affirming church with a woman pastor, and I absolutely love it here. The community feel is great and I love how everyone truly is welcome!! I also love reading, running, and coffee. I’m looking forward to this year and all the oddities that will come with it!

Hi! My name is Juliana Marks (she/her) and I'm a junior studying environmental engineering and oboe performance. I love LoL/LCM because it is an inclusive, welcoming, and intergenerational faith community. I'm passionate about blood donation and sustainability, and I enjoy running, knitting, and reading in my free time. I'm so glad that you're here in our community - whether that's virtually or in person - and I'm looking forward to a wonderful (albeit different) year!

My name is Sophie Dettling (she/her) and I'm a rising undergraduate junior studying Public Health with a minor in English. I joined Lord of Light my freshman year and it has become a community and space that I find so much joy and peace in. My favorite thing about LOL/LCM is the commitment to social justice amongst so many passionate people from all different backgrounds. In addition to my involvement at LOL/LCM, I'm the vice president of the pre-law sorority on campus Delta Gamma Phi. I enjoy cooking, fitness, reading, and coffee. While this upcoming year may be challenging, I look forward to building and strengthening our amazing community!

Hi there, my name is Alyssa and I use the pronouns she, her, and hers. I spent a few years working at the University and now I’m a first-year Master’s student in the School of Social Work. I’m passionate about mental health, LGBTQ+ advocacy, and a faith that fights for social justice. That’s probably why I was so thrilled to find Lord of Light! My energy comes from yoga, fresh flowers, and connecting with people. We are so glad you're "here" whether you're joining us in Ann Arbor or through your nearest computer screen! I'm glad you're here!
